Leadership in Circle K

Every CKI member has the opportunity to serve the club as an executive officer, project commissioner, committee chairman, committee member, district officer, or international representative.

Executive Board

The executive board is responsible for running the weekly club meetings and the overall administration of the organization. Positions include; President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Fundraising Chair, Historian Chair, Kiwanis Family Relations Chair, Public Relations Chair, and Food Recovery Network Chair.

Project Commissioner

Project Commissioners commit to attending the same project at least once a month and keep track of the members that attend the project so that their hours can be recorded.

Committees

Joining a committee is a great way to build your leadership skills while making some great friends. Being a part of a committee also allows you to meet regularly with a great group of members and most people develop lasting friendships with their fellow committee members. Being on a committee comes with some responsibility and expectations, outlined in this article.

Fundraising: This committee develops and carries out fundraisers that will help us make significant monetary contributions to local charities.

Historian: This committee oversees the creation of the club scrapbook throughout the year (by collecting mementos and pictures).

Kiwanis Family Relations: This committee develops social, service, and networking events with other Circle K and Kiwanis Family clubs. They set up interclubs, service projects, socials, and larger events with Key Clubs (high school level), Circle K clubs (college level), Aktion Club (Aduls with disabilities). and Kiwanis Clubs (adult level).

Public Relations: This committee works to raise awareness about what Circle K is doing to the student body, other campus organizations, and the community. Dorm representatives are a key part of the public relations committee by showing their CKI spirit with a door dec and answering any questions. This committee also plans social events for the club.

Food Recovery Network: This committee works to organize the FRN program on campus. The Campus Dining Coordinator and Community Agency Coordinator organize food recoveries and deliveries, while the Volunteer Coordinator ensures there are enough volunteers to run a recovery. Other committee members include Recovery Coordinators who agree to be present during a recovery.
