Better with Letters: Pen Pal Program 

 

The mission of Better with Letters is to establish a strong community of learning for elementary school students by developing positive relationships and experiences that extend beyond the class room. Better with Letters is a mentoring and learning program that pairs up college and elementary school students.

 

Circle K members may apply for a pen pal (contact project commissioner for application). Once they are chosen, they are matched up with an elementary school student. Each week, college pen pals write to and receive letters from their elementary buddies. The program concludes with a pizza party at the end of the semester where pen pals meet!
